After Hours

Although the source material for After Hours was recorded some six months or more prior to the construction and mixing of the composition, which in turn was edited, mastered, given a title and subsequently delivered to Cathnor some fifteen months prior to actual release, the timing could not have been more significant.

On the day that Richard forwarded to me the artwork for final
approval, I made a public declaration that the record shop I had been
curating for the past eight years was about to close its doors to the general public and in future trade as an online service.
The title After Hours had been put into place many, many months before, yet had a resonance and connection to the current situation.

After Hours; the work completed, time to contemplate.
After Hours; down time, relaxation after so much effort.
After Hours; pour the wine in celebration.
